Instructions

  1. Cook the soaked black channa along with salt, cardamom, cinnamon, and green chillies in a pressure cooker with oil.
  2. Saute onion until soft.
  3. Add chopped ginger and saute.
  4. Add dried red chillies, curry leaves, and green chillies, and saute lightly (do not let the green chillies change color).
  5. Add the cooked channa, dried tomatoes, a part of cashewnuts, and coconut oil.
  6. Add pepper powder and garam masala, then remove from fire.
  7. If desired, add cashewnuts and raisins fried in ghee.
